Zicom Electronic Security Systems, electronic security equipment firm, has planned to raise up to USD 35 million through various means. It has also planned to take a stake in an overseas venture and invest up to USD 5 million in it, reports Business Line.
Zicom Electronic Security Systems offers customized security solutions against burglary, fire and unauthorized access. It also offers surveillance solutions such as CCTV, remote video and electronic articles. Integrated management solutions for buildings, car parks and smart cards are other services offered.
Recently, the company has decided to make two overseas acquisitions, one in China and the other in a nearby country. The acquisition is likely to be in the range of Rs 300-350 million each and will be funded through the company`s internal accruals and the proceeds of the USD 11-million FCCB issue which it had floated in September 2005. The acquisition in the nearby country is expected to be announced soon, where as the one in China may be sealed before the end of Q1 FY 08.
